Dreaming (and Drooling) In Color

Painting, Printmaking, Fabrication

Dreaming (and Drooling) in Color is a multimedia piece that was installed on the Eastside Atlanta Beltline as part of the 725 Views public exhibition sponsored by 725 Ponce and organized by Indigo Collective. The piece sits within a viewfinder lightbox that is installed along the fence behind Ponce City Market. Viewers access a voyeuristic vantage point by peeking into the peephole along the fence.

The piece depicts a person sleeping soundly with mouth agape, jostled hair, and dripping drool. The voyeuristic and intimate perspective plays with the realistic representation of the comfortably sleeping person to create a genuine, intimate, and humorous interaction with the viewer.
